Quilt Circle Open House

Quilt Circle of Friends had a fun evening, hosting an Open House at the Adel Library and featuring designer Kelly Mueller from The Wooden Bear.

We opened the evening with the show and share of a few of the blocks that were turned in for our Breast Cancer Awareness quilt.

Kelly had a very nice display of many of her designs on bags, bibs, onesies and towels. Behind her above are several of her brand new designs she calls patternettes. They are still at the print shop but they will be available here soon.

The ladies gathered to listen as Kelly explained how to print some of her designs on fabric and then stitch into a project like her little zipper pouches.
She also talked about how to iron some of her designs onto fabric using heat transfer. Very interesting.

And then, of course, there was the shopping. Lonnie was there to help with that. Thank you, Lonnie.

Quilt Circle of Friends members provided bars and cookies. Thank you to this little welcoming committee - Theresa, Nancy and Joyce.

--- and lots of mingling. It was a fun evening. Thank you to Kelly for visiting us in Adel. Thank you to our guests. Thank you to Quilt Circle for the treats and the help cleaning up and Thank you to Jackie O. for taking and sending me these pictures.

Love my Quilt Circle of Friends.
