Iowa Quilt Museum in Winterset seeks volunteers

The Iowa Quilt Museum is seeking volunteers who can greet our visitors, sell admission and gift shop items, and act as docents in the gallery. Extensive quilting knowledge is not necessary and our cash register system is remarkably easy!  We ask our volunteers to work either 3.5 or 7 hour shifts from once a month up to once a week. To show our thanks, each volunteer is gifted with a complimentary annual membership to the Iowa Quilt Museum.

We would be so pleased to have more representation in our museum from outside of Madison County! Perhaps you would like to follow the model of the Centerville Guild that has committed to covering one day per month. They gather 3 or 4 from their group and make it a ladies day out by visiting our amazing quilt shops (just down the street) and the numerous other shops on the Winterset Town Square while they are here.

For more information or to sign up as volunteers, contact our museum director, Megan Barrett at director@iowaquiltmuseum.org or 515-462-5988. And if you know of others who might be interested, feel free to pass his information along!
