Bonnie's Challenge Quilt

Remember the Quilt Circle of Friends challenge? Members were given the pattern by Eleanor Burns, Circle of Friends, and a 10" square of fabric. The challenge was to make something using this pattern and the square.

Bonnie quilted circles all over and is inviting QC members to stop by the shop in the next 2 weeks to sign in one of the circles.

Isn't that special?

New Shop Sample

Here's an easy, functional and pretty project; a bed runner. We used a Moda panel featuring a variety of floral prints.

Place this across the end of your bed to brighten the room or protect your quilt from where you sit to put on your shoes - - -  wait- - let's be honest here - - - where you sit to put on your house slippers - - - or place it across the pillows at the top of your bed.

We have kits for just $18.

We got you covered!

Got these off in the mail to the Iowa Grands. Most of these came from the Moda panel for masks. I am hearing they like the masks with the adjustable straps best because they don't hurt their ears

These half yard assortments are now on sale for $25 each. These have been some of the popular choices for mask making.

I have just placed an order for more 1/4" white elastic. Coming this fall, 1/4" elastic will also be available in colors and I have ordered it in aqua and red.

One more note on masking up - we now have the flexible nose pieces available, 5 for $2.50.

This in addition to mask kits and pre-made masks.  Guess you could say we got you covered!

Kids Camp

This week of August is Kids Camp at Memaw's house.

We hope the Texas Grands can join us next year.

This one is for you, Kay C!

We  managed to make a few masks, trying different styles and fits to make sure we come up with the best fit mask for school.

We did a lot of playing and eating of ice cream.

Plus, we baked an upside down pineapple cake which really had these guys intrigued. The cake was for Jackson's birthday. He is 9 years old today.  Happy Birthday, Jack!

Our first Quilters Trek Winner

This year, Quilter's Trek (formerly known as Row by Row) expanded the rules to include 2 winners at each shop, each winning 15 fat quarters.

Today, our first winner came in when Dianna Deskin from Johnston, IA came in with this quilt.

Diana picked out her prize of 15 FQs plus a certificate of accomplishment and a bonus gift of 9 of our own patterns as a bonus gifts.

Here is a picture of her label showing where she collected kits. New this year, Trekkers can order kits by mail so Dianna took advantage of that to get kits from some shops she had hoped to visit this year on vacation, a vacay that got Covid nixed.

Maggies' First Quilt

Maggie came in to show me her first quilt. True to her nature, she made it for someone else, a comfort quilt for the son of a friend. The fabrics represent two of his favorite teams.  Nice job, Maggie!

Iowa Gifts

Christy Vilsack stopped by to pick up some Sweet Corn Pot Holder kits to give as Iowa gifts. How sweet is that? She had me prepare her purchase for porch pick up, thus the long-distance picture.
