Condolences
Our entire quilt family extends condolences to friend and former Shop Girl, Rozetta Fiscus and family on the death of husband, father and grandfather, Dean.
“My life is but a weaving
Between my God and me.
I cannot choose the colors
He weaveth steadily.
Oft’ times He weaveth sorrow;
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.
Not ’til the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly
Will God unroll the canvas
And reveal the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
In the weaver’s skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned
He knows, He loves, He cares;
Nothing this truth can dim.
He gives the very best to those
Who leave the choice to Him.”

A thank you to share - - -
Good morning
everyone,
I want to thank everyone who made pillowcases and donated in September
and October. I am happy to say we did 1,680 pillowcases. I don't have
the final figures from Corporate yet but will let you know when I get their
figures.
I want to give a special thank you to Woodside Quilting, Mended Hearts
Quilting and Adel Quilting for hosting events. We had a good time at
every one of them.
With out all of you we couldn't put as many smiles on kids faces as we do
in Central Iowa.
Thank you and may God bless you all!!!!

Sunday Sewday
I had fun playing in the sewing room today.
This is a shop sample, a nod to St Patrick's Day.This is a pattern I am working on for Sister's of the Cloth.
and the beginnings of a place mat, mug rug, coaster set.
Another shop sample, I am auditioning the border for this holiday panel.
The only thing I actually finished was this little child size apron. We will have this available in kits.

Holiday Open House Treats
It's hard to believe the holidays are upon us but, tis true. To welcome the season, we have prepared this little treat for our first Holiday Open House, Friday and Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm.
Holiday Brownie Bites
- Mix up a batch of brownies according to package instructions.
- Using a mini muffin pan, place a 1T dollop in each cup. (Be sure to grease well or use muffin papers).
- Place a white chocolate/peppermint Hershey's Kiss in the center of each and press to the bottom of the cup.
- Bake at 350 for 12 min.
Note: These are special holiday Kisses not available yet everywhere. I found them today at HyVee, just hitting the shelves.
We also have a demo put together, using a pressing sheet for machine applique. We will feature several new holiday towel designs from The Wooden Bear.
Finish off any bolt for 10% off and while you are here, be sure to pick up a gift from us.
