Nancy Hayer of Adel brought in her completed row quilt. The contest requirement is to use at least 8 rows from row patterns collected from 8 different quilt shops. In her excitement, Nancy actually made 9 rows! Nancy said she specifically shopped around for rows that had blocks she could pub on point to create her roof line.
Nancy's husband, Frank, said he helped by keeping up with the dishes while Nancy sewed. Using her embroidery machine, she labeled each row with the name of the shop where she picked it up. Notice she embroidered A D E L in the center of our Courthouse Steps blocks.
Congratulations on a job well done, Nancy! We hope you enjoy your prize, 25 jewel-tone batik fat quarters.
