Another retreat tradition is to do some type of charity quilt. This year, we did a relay piecing race with teams of 4. The winning team was crowned "Queens for the Day". Notice a couple of these speedy stitchers won the honor in both retreats!

We made 144 blocks in just minutes. We should be able to put together 3 quilts for our charity from this stack of blocks.
In a lay-out like this:
These blocks were cut from strip sets of 4, 2 1/2" strips. Sue took the scrap ends from the strip sets, after 4 blocks had been cut, and made this charity quilt!
