September 26- Big day!

Join us Saturday morning at the Adel Library from 9 am to 1 pm to help make pillowcases and pillowcase kits for Case for Smiles.

If you can, bring your sewing machine, ruler and rotary cutter  and sew a couple up. Got excess cottons in your stash, bring that along as well. They prefer no flannel. Think kids prints.

Cutting mats and pressing stations will be provided.

Jennifer Buttolph is the Central/ Western representative from this organization will be there to lead the morning. Come for the morning to stitch or just for an hour to cut, press and fold, they appreciate all of the help they can get. Read more here in this excerpt from their website.

ConKerr Cancer is now Case For Smiles

ConKerr Cancer is now Ryan’s Case for Smiles (Case for Smiles) for short. We have a new name, new look and new website, but are driven by the same mission and passion.  Each day, thousands of volunteers across North America work to provide hospitalized children with whimsical pillowcases, giving them an emotional boost and reminding them they are not defined by their illnesses.  With every stitch, every yard of fabric and every pillowcase, we get one step closer to our goal of helping kids with life changing illnesses or injuries, feel better to heal better.  Won’t you join us?
