Sisters of the Cloth

Sisters of the Cloth held their September class last Saturday. Our member trunk show and theme of our program was Red and White quilts. Since the trunk show was of my quilts and I am the picture taker, we don't have any of those to share but you have probably seen them anyway. Here are some spectacular examples brought in by class members.

Plus more 2-color quilts - - -

Nice shirt, Kris!

Lonnie loaned us this quilt to show. It is all 1/2" hexagons, hand pieced and hand quilted by a girl named Exie when she was just 11 years old. She was a neighbor of Lonnie's and yes, this is a hexie quilt by Exie. Stunning.

We enjoyed another great program presented by historian, Kathy Wilson on life in a grand manor similar to Downton Abby.

We gather again in November 16 with a program by Becky Irmiter and Sue Kluber.
