I added block #8 to the stack of American Gatherings blocks (free weekly download from Primitive Gatherings web)
With 8 blocks done, I decided to start making the rows.
I found the Speckle fabric we have on the bolt, 108" wide (available at shopadelquilting.com) looked great. If I am careful when trimming the selvage off, I can get 2 horizontal sashing strips from each width of fabric.
Referring to the picture of the finished quilt, I made a guess that the sashes between the blocks are cut 2 1/2" wide and the horizontal sash between the rows is cut 3 1/2" wide,
